I cannot wait for spring break this year! I will be visiting California with my best friend, Bridgett. She is also a senior in the same high school I go to. We have been friends for at least four years now and she invited me with her family to go on a trip with her and her family this March. I have never been to California before and I am super excited to go. It is supposed to be a cruise from California to Cabo, Mexico. (I will be talking more about Cabo in my next post.) Anyway, I am extremely thankful to go. The plan is that we will be visiting the San Diego zoo first and different areas in California. Then, we go on the cruise to Cabo.
San Diego Zoo Arctic Fox California Condor Polar Bear Capybara Bog Garden Bromeliad Garden
The San Diego Zoo is a one hundred acre zoo located about thirty miles north of downtown San Diego. The zoo has around 3,500 rare and endangered animals and over 700,000 exotic plants. Some animals include the Arctic Fox, the California Condor, capybaras, and polar bears. Plants found at the zoo includes the Bog Garden and Bromeliad Garden.
Ice Cream Little Damage
Besides the zoo, Bridgett and I want to visit a little shop found in downtown Los Angeles, California. The shop is called Little Damage. What’s so cool about this shop is that they serve black ice cream. I think it looks really interesting. They serve many other flavors that rotate seasonally and certain flavors that are featured every year.

Laduree
Another shop in California called Ladurée sells macarons. The several flavors of macarons are chocolate, coffee, caramel, vanilla, orange blossom, and pistachio. You can buy a box of six or so in any design of box you would like. I haven’t had very many macarons in my life but the few I had were good.

There may be other places in California we will be visiting but I know we want to visit these places for sure! If you are taking a trip to California any time, I suggest you check out the zoo and shops.
